The world's only surviving whale ship, Mystic Seaport's Charles W. Morgan, spent much of the summer of 2014 sailing the waters of New England and making eight port stops. This unique endeavor created opportunities that went well beyond the challenges of sailing a 173 year old square rigger. Poets, artists, cinematographers, writers, historians, scientists, and even a digitally connected stowaway joined the ship's crew in order to capture this adventure for future generations. Steve White will present video and still images of the voyage while explaining its inspiration, its goals, the vital partnerships that allowed it to succeed, and the many "hidden" aspects to this once-in-a-lifetime accomplishment, the 38th Voyage of the Charles W. Morgan.
