Gary Jobson All-American Collegiate Sailor Special Presentation at Stonington Harbor Yacht Club

Stonington Harbor Yacht Club is excited to welcome Gary Jobson, an All-American Collegiate Sailor, Winner of the America’s Cup in 1977 as a tactician for Ted Turner, Broadcaster/ Producer for ESPN, lecturer, writer and one of the pre-eminent ambassadors for sailing in the U.S. to host “Celebrating Sailing.” The program consists of six videos totaling 45 minutes which are all narrated live and will cover several of Jobson’s many accomplishments sailing and address topics including; What happens next with the America’s Cup? The Magic & Mystery of Sable Island- Graveyard of the Atlantic (site of 350 shipwrecks); review of the 1979 Fastnet- the roughest ocean race on record; review of the Rio Olympics Games; several sailing stories of inspiration, and what Jobson believes will happen in the future of sailing.
