Mick Dawson is in the U.S. to promote the launch of his new book, Battling the Oceans in a Rowboat. This story tells of how the former British Royal Marine Commando rowed across the Atlantic Ocean (twice) then went on to make two unsuccessful solo attempts on the North Pacific. Together with his friend and rowing partner Chris Martin, he became the first person to skipper a rowing boat across the North Pacific Ocean, almost 7000 miles from Japan to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. He will be talking about the stories and adventures that led up to and were part of that incredible "World First." Open to the public. Books will be available for purchase after the event.
