Stonington Portraits: A Seafaring Saga is a collection of portraits by artist Sabina Streeter, inspired by the lives and personae of the great maritime era. A continuation of her previous show Captains, Mates, and Widows, the collection features a poetic interpretation of Stonington’s iconic seafaring characters. 

Originally from Munich, Germany, Sabina Streeter holds family ties to Stonington and is currently based in Sag Harbor, NY. Her studio at 25 Madison Street is the original residence of the great Whaling Captain, David P. Vail (1828), master of the whaling ship The Sabina.

Exhibit opening reception Friday, September 15 from 5-7pm.  Exhibit will run through the end of October.
